United Airlines Recruitment Campaign
A recruitment film has a harder audience than a brand film. The person watching is deciding whether to apply, and they have already discounted everything a company says about itself. So this one let the crew answer instead.
Crew interviews and operational coverage cut into a recruitment piece. The brief was hiring, so the film had to answer what the work is actually like.

What operational coverage buys an interview
An interview is a claim. Footage of the shift it describes is the check on that claim, and cutting the two against each other is what makes the first one believable. Interviews on their own are a careers page read aloud.
A schedule that was never going to move
Operational coverage means shooting inside someone else's timetable, at the pace that timetable runs. The frame gets chosen for where the work happens rather than where the light is good, and the shot list is written knowing most of it is a request rather than a plan.
Hiring is the metric
Hiring sets a different bar than reach does. A film watched widely and applied to by nobody has failed at the only thing it was made for, so every cut was judged against one question: would somebody on the fence recognize the job in it.
