"BLEED" - Keyawna x Lil Wayne
A music video shoot has one story running on camera and another one happening around it. Behind-the-scenes coverage of "BLEED" in Los Angeles was the second one — the room Lil Wayne and Keyawna Nikole were actually working in.
A few of our LA based Media Team were given the opportunity to document history as Lil Wayne ushers in a new era of rock music by featuring on a new single "BLEED" by Keyawna Nikole.

The camera nobody is performing for
Behind-the-scenes work only holds up because the performance has already been given to another lens. Nothing here is marked, reset or asked for twice — the moment a second production starts making requests, the thing it was sent to record stops happening.
The crossing is the story
Lil Wayne featuring on a rock single is the reason the day was worth documenting, and it is also the reason the frames could not look like a rap session. A record moving between two rooms has to be photographed in the one it is arriving in, not the one it came from.
Who was in the room
This went to people who already work in that city, not a crew flown in to learn it that morning. That is how the roster works: a project is assigned to people whose field it already is, and the direction runs from us to them.
