Rolling Loud LA '21
A festival that runs more than one stage is a routing problem, not a camera one. You cannot be in two places, so the day is decided before the gates open. Three days at Rolling Loud LA was that decision, made over and over.

The call sheet is the coverage
Every set you are standing in is a set you are not at. A festival plan is a list of what is being given up, written down beforehand so the choice gets made once by someone holding the whole schedule, rather than again and again by whoever happens to be closest.
Access decides the frame before the lens does
Where a photographer is permitted to stand sets the shot far more than what is on the camera. Which is why that conversation happens with the organization that owns the ground, in advance, and not with a security guard at the barrier halfway through a set.
